Book Pays Homage to Mother Earth
Over the last couple of years, my concern for our planet has filled my mind and driven my writing. What inspires me as a painter, also captivates me as a writer – the morning sun tiptoeing across dew-kissed grass, the touch of winter’s frosty fingers, a solitary tree standing guard as a sentinel over a flowing river, the cheerful chatter of chickadees, all images threatened by the devastating impact of climate change .
With a collection of poetry about my observations of the natural world ready, Views from the Edge of the Earth, will be available mid-April, 2024.
A book launch is being planned for Sunday, June 2 in Bracebridge, Ontario. Details will appear here in a future post.
We live in a world of incredible beauty, remarkable in its biodiversity, from microscopic to gigantic life. Views from the Edge of the Earth shares images of a world in jeopardy as a call to action for everyday people. Written in a simple, straightforward style, the book begins with a dire vision but ends with a message of hope.
A book launch is being planned for June. Details will be posted here when finalized.
